The gift of life is worth having, but what if you could give your dog a pill that could help it live longer? One company in America has claimed that it has developed just such a pill, and that it can slow down the ageing process for dogs.
It’s true to say that dogs tend to age about seven times faster than humans. A company called life advantage which produces supplements for humans has just developed an anti-ageing pill for dogs.
The pet supplement called canine health is designed to reduce oxidative stress which causes problems that are associated with ageing, including joint pain and stiffness; so a bit like cod liver oil for dogs I guess.
Whilst local vets have voiced their scepticism they do agree that some of the list of ingredients within canine health have been proven to help reduce arthritis symptoms in dogs.
The company is definitely charging a premium for this particular supplement, and is banking on people willing to spend between 30 and hundred and £20 a month on eight anti-ageing pills for their dogs.
